Whole Living in the Dead of Winter

I have always loved reading all types of magazines.
I can remember sneaking my mom's Glamour into my room at night and reading the daily diet tips and how to please your man articles. I may have only been twelve at the time. Awkward...

Over the years, my taste in magazines has evolved. In high school, I was obsessed with calorie counting and the latest & greatest exercises so magazines like Fitness were all I read. I loved to read the weight loss success stories and how Jillian Michaels counts salsa as a vegetable.

Although, I still enjoy these magazines occasionally, they bore me to death now because it seems like all the tips are recycled from past articles. And maybe, just maybe, I got a little of sick of hearing how many calories were in a double cheeseburger deluxe from Mccy D's.

Well, I finally found a magazine that is always refreshing to read.
For the past year, Whole Living Magazine has supplied me with a wealth of information in regards to healthy living. I absolutely love this magazine!

This month's main articles are all about finding true happiness. As winter drags on in Maine, I tend to get a little negative and my quest for mindful (present in every moment) living gets forgotten. These articles bring it back.  Couldn't have come at a better time.

I suggest you subscribe to Whole Living or skim through their website. I love it!

  1. I will stick with my glamour, thankyouverymuch. Haha, just kidding. Checking out the Whole Living website now thinking, yum, I want some kiwi and oranges... that $#%! is expensive! How do you buy freshies on the cheap? We just have a lot of root vegetables and greens, since I don't feel like I can afford out-of-season fruit this time of year. :( But I want it!!!

  2. ha! I love whole living magazine -- and real simple, too. I'm a sucker for magazines. I agree, though -- some articles in most health and fitness magazines are the same ones I've been reading since I was 14!
Oprah magazine is totally my guilty pleasure.
